iPhone 17 Pro Models to Feature Major Redesign, All-48MP Cameras, and More

Apple is gearing up for a major leap forward with its 2025 iPhone lineup, with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max expected to receive a host of significant upgrades across design, camera, battery, display, and performance.

Bold New Design

According to early reports, Apple is planning a striking design overhaul for its upcoming Pro models. One of the most notable changes is the transformation of the rear camera module. In a departure from the familiar square bump, the iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to feature a sleek horizontal camera bar that spans the width of the device. While the primary lens arrangement may remain unchanged, the flash and LiDAR sensor could shift positions—potentially optimizing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

In another unexpected twist, Apple might also bring back the aluminium chassis for its Pro models. This move would mark a shift away from the stainless steel and titanium materials that have defined recent generations of Pro iPhones, possibly signaling a lighter and more refined design language.

All-New Camera System

The iPhone 17 Pro models are poised to make waves in mobile photography. Apple is rumored to be outfitting both the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max with a 48MP telephoto lens—upgrading from the current 12MP variant. This change would result in the first iPhones with an all-48MP rear camera setup, joining the main and ultra-wide lenses at the same resolution.

This significant enhancement could lead to better overall image quality, improved low-light performance, and potentially unlock 8K video recording—a first for the iPhone lineup.

As the launch approaches, Apple fans and tech enthusiasts alike can expect more details to surface in the coming months.
