Authorities revealed shocking new details about the Encino double murder suspect linked to the deaths of Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca. The couple was found shot dead in their upscale Encino home after a reported burglary.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian broke into the couple’s $4.5 million residence. Investigators believe the victims came home during the burglary. A violent confrontation followed. Boodarian allegedly used a gun found inside the home to shoot both victims in the head.
Despite two 911 calls made that day, police failed to discover the bodies until several days later. Authorities now believe one of those calls came from Boodarian himself. He reportedly pretended to be a resident and begged, “Please don’t shoot me,” during the call.
Investigators confirmed the Encino double murder suspect identified himself by name in the 911 call. Although officers responded, they could not access the home due to locked gates and surrounding walls. They left after failing to observe any suspicious activity.
The first call came from a neighbor who saw a man scaling the property’s fence. Police dispatched a helicopter, which hovered above the house. The flight officer saw no signs of a break-in and cleared the scene.
Shortly after, the second call came from inside the house. The caller claimed to be a resident. Moments later, they said a response was not needed. Follow-up attempts failed, and officers left again.
Eventually, a friend who hadn’t heard from the couple requested a welfare check. She provided officers with the gate code. Police then entered the property and saw signs of trouble. They broke a window, entered the home, and found the bodies.
Soon after, the FBI and LAPD arrested the Encino double murder suspect at a location just four miles from the victims’ home. Authorities charged him with two counts of murder and one count of burglary. The murder charges include special circumstances and firearm allegations. He remains in custody without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from neighboring homes to gather more evidence. The community continues to demand answers and improved safety.
