The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation under fire faces serious accusations despite delivering its 155 millionth meal on Saturday. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) launched Facebook ads criticizing the foundation. These ads accused GHF of “orchestrated killing” and “systemized violence.”
MSF’s General Director Raquel Ayora shared accounts of violence at GHF distribution points. She described children shot while reaching for food. GHF spokesperson Chapin Fay called the accusations “false and disgraceful.” He said MSF is spreading lies from the Hamas-linked Gaza Health Ministry.
Fay insisted, “No civilians have ever been shot at any of the distribution sites.” He added false reports come from Nasser Hospital. According to Fay, these reports rely on secondhand accounts, not the direct evidence. No MSF doctor has witnessed violence near GHF sites.
MSF Said that it documented violence based on firsthand accounts and medical data. However, they did not detail their ad spending. UN data shows twice as many deaths happened near aid convoys than near GHF sites from July 21 to August 18.
The UN reported 1,889 deaths near aid sites, including 259 near GHF locations. Tensions remain high amid these conflicting reports. Despite disputes, Fay said GHF helped MSF protect medical supplies in early August. He also said GHF workers faced mistreatment at Nasser Hospital.
Following a Hamas attack, the GHF staff were reportedly denied care at Nasser Hospital. Three GHF workers died due to lack of treatment. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation under fire remains a key controversy in Gaza’s aid efforts. The challenges continue amid conflict and misinformation.
TThe ongoing conflict creates serious challenges for delivering essential aid to vulnerable communities in Gaza. Without cooperation from all sides, humanitarian missions face dangerous delays. Protecting aid workers and ensuring safe access remain critical priorities for saving lives in the region.
