Tragic Car Crash Claims Lives of Three Massachusetts High School Seniors During Spring Break

Three high school seniors from Massachusetts have tragically died, and another is in critical condition following a car crash in Florida on April 21. The victims were on spring break when the accident occurred.

Jimmy McIntosh and Hannah Wasserman of Concord-Carlisle High School were pronounced dead at the scene, while Maisey O’Donnell, a state diving champion, succumbed to her injuries later in the hospital. The fourth student involved remains in critical condition.

The crash took place around 9:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 98 in Walton County. According to reports, McIntosh was driving the vehicle when it collided with a tractor-trailer. The SUV veered across the median, traveled to the opposite side of the highway, and ended up in the woods. There were no additional casualties.

An investigation is ongoing, and it is still unclear if the passengers were wearing seatbelts. The crash caused a temporary closure of the highway, which was reopened early the following morning.

Concord-Carlisle Regional School District Superintendent Dr. Laurie Hunter expressed profound grief in a statement, thanking the community for their support during this devastating time. “We are all devastated beyond what we can understand today,” she said, urging the community to come together as they face the difficult days ahead.
