Steve Witkoff Sworn In as Middle East Envoy as Trump Pushes Peace Agenda

In a high-profile Oval Office ceremony on Tuesday, President Donald Trump introduced Steve Witkoff as America’s peace negotiator. Secretary of State Marco Rubio administered the oath, officially swearing in Witkoff as the new special envoy to the Middle East. Trump stood nearby, expressing strong support and confidence in his pick.

Trump didn’t hold back when praising Witkoff. He highlighted Witkoff’s key role in brokering a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The ceasefire also led to the release of 33 hostages, including two Americans. Trump described Witkoff as relentless and loyal, saying he had “absolute confidence” in his ability to navigate global diplomacy.

Trump emphasized that Steve Witkoff as America’s peace negotiator had proven himself despite coming from a business background. Known for his real estate ventures, Witkoff earned Trump’s trust through years of close association. According to Trump, Witkoff is “one of the smartest and toughest negotiators” he has ever known.

Despite lacking traditional diplomatic experience, Witkoff has moved swiftly into his new role. Trump admitted there was a steep learning curve, but noted that Witkoff mastered the job quickly. “It takes him an hour,” Trump joked. “Then he’s brutal. He does a great job.”

Witkoff has already met with world leaders, including Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Iranian officials. Trump praised his envoy’s efforts to broker peace in some of the world’s most dangerous conflicts. He also mentioned recent talks with the Houthis, aiming to prevent further attacks against Israel.

Reporters questioned Trump about the ongoing crisis in Gaza. He confirmed efforts to recover remaining hostages and the bodies of those killed. Trump shared a heartbreaking story about parents begging for the return of their son’s remains. His voice grew somber as he recalled their plea.

Later, Trump addressed Iran’s nuclear ambitions. He stated clearly that Iran “will not get a nuclear weapon.” He warned that now is a crucial moment for Iran’s future. “This is crunch time for peace in the Middle East,” Trump declared, reiterating his call for diplomacy and stability.

Throughout the event, Trump stressed the importance of Steve Witkoff as America’s peace negotiator. He said Witkoff’s tireless efforts reflect a deep commitment to global peace. With mounting challenges, Trump insisted his envoy is ready to handle them head-on.

As the Middle East faces complex and fragile tensions, Steve Witkoff as America’s peace negotiator will remain a central figure in shaping U.S. strategy. His mission is clear: secure peace, protect hostages, and stop the spread of violence.
