Ohio Man Arrested for Murder of 28 Year Old Rosanna Kinsinger

Samuel Hochstetler, a 36-year-old man from Meigs County, Ohio, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 28-year-old Rosanna Kinsinger. Kinsinger, a beloved member of her community, was found deceased under suspicious circumstances on March 13, 2025, at her home on Dye Road in Rutland, Ohio.

The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious death and initiated an investigation. Although preliminary autopsy results were inconclusive, detectives conducted interviews, executed search warrants, and processed evidence from the crime scene. Through these efforts, they identified Hochstetler as a person of interest.

On May 5, 2025, Hochstetler was interviewed by police and subsequently arrested and charged with Kinsinger’s murder.He is currently being held at the Gallia County Jail with a $1 million bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for May 13, 2025.

Sheriff Scott Fitch expressed condolences to Kinsinger’s family and community, stating, “This case was such a tragedy to those who knew Rosanna. She was a beloved individual in her community.” The investigation continues as authorities work to bring closure to this case.
