Nvidia Expands AI Infrastructure Through SK Hynix Partnership

AI Memory Supply remains a top priority for Nvidia as the company expands its artificial intelligence infrastructure through a major agreement with South Korea’s SK Hynix. Furthermore, the partnership supports Nvidia’s long-term strategy to secure essential components for future AI systems and data centers.

Nvidia announced the multi-year agreement during an artificial intelligence event held in San Francisco. According to the company, the partnership could reach an estimated value of $500 billion over several years. Additionally, the agreement includes plans for large-scale AI data centers expected to begin operating during 2027.

The new facilities will rely on Nvidia’s advanced computing technology to deliver substantial processing capacity for artificial intelligence workloads. Consequently, the project represents one of the company’s largest infrastructure commitments to date.

As part of the agreement, SK Telecom will develop a cloud computing business using Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform. The planned infrastructure will require approximately two gigawatts of electricity, demonstrating the enormous scale of the proposed deployment. Therefore, the project will support hundreds of thousands of graphics processing units designed for demanding AI applications.

Nvidia continues strengthening its supply chain because demand for artificial intelligence hardware keeps growing worldwide. High-bandwidth memory remains one of the most critical components required for advanced AI processors. Therefore, securing reliable production has become increasingly important as competition intensifies across the technology industry.

SK Hynix currently leads the market for high-bandwidth memory manufacturing, making the company a strategic partner for Nvidia’s expansion plans. The collaboration will also allow both companies to cooperate on future generations of AI memory technology. As a result, Nvidia expects to maintain a dependable supply of advanced memory products for upcoming hardware platforms.

The agreement also reflects broader changes across the artificial intelligence industry. Governments, telecommunications companies, and major industrial groups continue increasing investments in AI infrastructure alongside established cloud computing providers. Consequently, demand for powerful processors and advanced memory solutions continues rising across global markets.

Alongside the Nvidia announcement, Samsung Electronics revealed a separate agreement with Broadcom to expand cooperation across memory and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. The companies estimate their collaboration could reach approximately $200 billion while supporting future artificial intelligence infrastructure. Moreover, the partnership highlights increasing competition among major technology manufacturers seeking leadership in AI hardware.

Nvidia also announced an additional investment of $1 billion in South Korean cloud company Naver. The investment will help expand AI computing capacity through new data centers powered by Nvidia graphics processors. Furthermore, the project aims to provide businesses with access to high-performance computing resources before the facilities reach full operating capacity.

South Korea continues strengthening its position within the global semiconductor industry through investments in advanced memory production and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The country’s leading technology companies increasingly collaborate with international partners to support rising worldwide demand for AI computing resources. Consequently, these partnerships reinforce South Korea’s role as a critical supplier within the global semiconductor ecosystem.

Overall, Nvidia’s latest agreements demonstrate the company’s determination to secure essential hardware for future artificial intelligence growth. With AI Memory Supply becoming increasingly valuable, strategic partnerships now play a central role in expanding global computing infrastructure. As investment accelerates, AI Memory Supply will remain a key factor shaping the next generation of artificial intelligence development and large-scale data center expansion.
