An Idaho criminal investigation reached a significant milestone after prosecutors filed a Twin Murder Charges indictment against a 23-year-old mother accused of killing her 18-month-old twins. The case follows the children’s deaths in May 2025 and earlier public claims that vaccinations caused their deaths.
Authorities indicted Andrea Shaw on two counts of first-degree murder. Officers arrested her in Boise and transferred her to Payette County to face the charges.
Police previously reported that officers found the twin children, Dallas and Tyson, dead in a shared bed on May 1, 2025. Investigators did not publicly identify the children’s cause of death at that time.
Prosecutors allege Shaw killed the children by suffocation, according to the indictment filed in Payette County. That indictment now serves as the foundation of the criminal case moving through Idaho’s court system.
Several days after the twins died, Shaw and her husband appeared on a podcast produced by Children’s Health Defense. During the interview, Shaw claimed the children became ill and died shortly after receiving three vaccinations.
Shaw’s attorney continues to challenge the prosecution’s allegations. He maintains that he believes vaccinations caused the children’s deaths, although he has not presented evidence supporting that claim.
The attorney also said Shaw recently gave birth to another child prematurely through a cesarean section. He added that Shaw’s husband is caring for the newborn while the criminal case continues.
After her arrest, authorities booked Shaw into the Ada County Jail before extraditing her to Payette County. She remains in custody on a $2 million bond.
Shaw appeared virtually for her arraignment in Payette County District Court. During the hearing, the court formally read the charges and explained the legal process.
The judge also informed Shaw about the potential penalties if a court ultimately convicts her. Those penalties include the possibility of the death penalty under Idaho law.
Prosecutors have formally accused Shaw of first-degree murder through the indictment. Those charges remain allegations, and the judicial process will determine the outcome of the case.
