Netflix Playground App is Netflix’s new stand-alone platform for children’s games, expanding global access.The Netflix Playground App allows kids to play games without ads or in-app purchases. Moreover, it is included with a standard Netflix subscription for seamless access.
Additionally, the app launches with an “ever-growing” library of games based on popular children’s shows. For instance, children can enjoy titles featuring Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, Storybots, and Bad Dinosaurs.
Furthermore, Netflix designed the platform for children eight years and younger, providing a safe environment. It is currently available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, the Philippines, and New Zealand. Worldwide availability will begin on April 28, offering iOS and Android compatibility.
Importantly, the Netflix Playground App works offline, which makes it perfect for long trips. Parents can use it during flights or grocery store visits while keeping children entertained.
One example includes “Playtime With Peppa Pig,” where kids explore Peppa’s world through playful activities. Another example, Sesame Street, allows children to practice memory matching and connect-the-dots coordination games.

Netflix first introduced games in 2021, but some early titles did not gain significant traction. Consequently, the company closed multiple game studios, including Boss Fight, Spry Fox, and an AAA studio.
Last year, Netflix expanded into TV gaming with group-friendly party games like Tetris and Pictionary. Meanwhile, the company has emphasized its long-term plans to prioritize cloud gaming for future children’s experiences.
