Trump Media Launches Truth Search AI, Powered by Perplexity

Trump Media is rolling out a new AI search engine called Truth Search AI. This tool is currently in beta testing on its social platform. The company announced the launch through a press release, emphasizing its goal to enhance user experience.

Truth Search AI runs on technology provided by Perplexity, an AI company known for its “answer engine.” Unlike traditional search engines, it pulls information directly from sources and summarizes it. This approach aims to deliver quick, concise answers rather than long lists of links.

Trump Media’s CEO expressed pride in partnering with Perplexity to introduce Truth Search AI. He mentioned that user feedback would play a major role in refining the feature. Furthermore, the company plans to add more improvements in the coming months.

Currently, Truth Search AI is available on the web version of the platform. The company will soon launch public beta testing on mobile apps. However, the exact date for the mobile rollout remains undisclosed.

Concerns have arisen regarding potential bias. Since Trump Media targets conservative users, some worry Truth Search AI may favor right-leaning perspectives in its search results. For example, one international newspaper found the AI often cited conservative media sources.

On the other hand, some reporters received unexpected answers. When asked about the American economy, Truth Search AI acknowledged current challenges, describing a slowdown in growth. Additionally, when questioned about tariffs, the AI stated these policies have negatively impacted economic growth and employment.

Perplexity, the company behind the AI, has faced multiple legal disputes over content use. Several major news organizations have accused it of copying material without permission. One lawsuit claims Perplexity reproduces content verbatim, which sparked a heated response from the AI company. Perplexity defends itself by arguing that the complaints reflect misunderstandings of how AI and intellectual property law work.

Despite legal battles, Truth Search AI marks a significant development in AI-powered search within politically charged media environments. Trump Media’s move could shape how conservative users find information online. As the company collects user feedback, the tool may evolve to better serve its audience.
