Trump to Hold First Rally of Second Term in Michigan Ahead of 100-Day Mark

President Donald Trump is set to commemorate his first 100 days back in office with a rally in Michigan next week his first major public event since returning to the White House earlier this year.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday in Macomb County, a region just north of Detroit known for its strong ties to the automotive industry. The area played a pivotal role in Trump’s electoral success, flipping from Democratic control in the most recent election and contributing to his path back to the presidency.

A spokesperson confirmed that Trump is looking forward to reconnecting with Michigan residents and celebrating the early accomplishments of his renewed term. The rally comes just one day before the symbolic 100-day milestone, a traditional benchmark for evaluating a president’s early-term progress.

Since beginning his second term, Trump has kept a relatively low travel profile, aside from weekend getaways and a brief tour during his first week in office to visit disaster-affected communities in North Carolina and California. He also stopped in Las Vegas to promote a policy proposal aimed at eliminating taxes on tips.

Later this week, Trump will embark on his first international trip of the term to attend Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome, marking the start of his overseas engagements.
