President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on First Lady Jill Biden’s role within the Biden administration during an exclusive interview. When asked if he believed Jill Biden was merely an “autopen” for her husband, Trump dismissed the notion but acknowledged her involvement in key decisions, referencing her role in a significant Cabinet meeting in September 2024.
Trump pointed out that Jill Biden had been given the responsibility of presiding over one of the last Cabinet meetings before the end of the administration, a moment that sparked controversy. He also suggested that while she may have had influence, the broader impact was due to the “radical left” figures within the administration rather than just Jill Biden herself.
“The Biden administration was filled with a lot of bad people, radical left extremists. He [Joe Biden] was perfect for them because he didn’t have a clue,” Trump stated.
Concerns about President Biden’s health and cognitive abilities were prevalent throughout his time in office, especially following his debate performance against Trump in 2024. Recently released books have continued to shed light on Biden’s health, fueling ongoing debates about his suitability for office.
In contrast, Trump has confidently emphasized his own mental and physical health, particularly after his recent physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Trump declared he was in “very good shape” and felt strong overall, including having a “good heart” and a “good soul.”
Additionally, Trump took the opportunity to highlight his cognitive health, mentioning he had taken a cognitive test multiple times with perfect results, a subtle jab at Biden. “I’ve taken the cognitive test four times, got every one right. Biden refused to take it, Kamala refused to take it,” Trump remarked, adding that this is what the American people want to see from their leaders.
