A shocking gasoline attack on a Virginia official unfolded outside his workplace. City Councilman Lee Vogler, 38, became the victim of a violent assault when a man poured gasoline on him and set him on fire. The attack happened in broad daylight on Main Street, which immediately prompted police to respond.
According to the Danville Police Department, officers arrived shortly after reports of a man ablaze near the offices where Vogler works. Witnesses described how the suspect forced his way inside carrying a five-gallon bucket of gasoline. Then, he poured the liquid directly onto Vogler. As Vogler tried to escape, the attacker followed and ignited the flames.
Furthermore, Andrew Brooks, co-owner of the business and partner to Vogler, shared details in a video. Brooks revealed that the attacker entered their office with gasoline and doused Vogler.
