Middle East Peace: Trump Hails Historic Deal in Egypt

President Donald Trump declared a new era of Middle East peace as he signed a landmark agreement ending two years of conflict in Gaza. Speaking at Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, Trump addressed dozens of world leaders and celebrated what he called “the impossible made possible.”

“This is the day people across the region and around the world have been waiting for,” Trump said. He described the deal as a turning point that would mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Middle East.

The agreement followed the release of the last 20 living hostages by Hamas earlier in the week. In response, Israel withdrew its frontline positions in Gaza, paving the way for the peace signing. The announcement drew praise from regional leaders, who credited months of diplomatic work for the breakthrough.

Trump said that the next stages of the 20-point peace plan would focus on reconstruction and long-term cooperation. Furthermore, he explained that these efforts would unite nations through shared goals of stability and development. “This breakthrough is more than the end of the war in Gaza,” he stated. “Indeed, it’s a new beginning for an entire, beautiful Middle East.” Moreover, Trump emphasized that rebuilding efforts would not only restore cities but also strengthen regional partnerships. He added that through collaboration, investment, and goodwill, the nations involved could create lasting prosperity across the region.

He emphasized that Middle East peace would now depend on continued collaboration among Arab and Muslim nations. Trump encouraged more countries to join the Abraham Accords, the normalization agreements signed during his first administration with Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates.

The president also took aim at the Biden administration, accusing it of failing to build on earlier progress. “We’re going to get a lot of people joining the Abraham Accords,” Trump said. “All the momentum now is toward a great, glorious, and lasting peace.”

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined the ceremony and praised Trump’s leadership. “Peace has been achieved after untiring efforts led by President Trump,” Sharif said, announcing that Pakistan had nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump credited Secretary of State Marco Rubio for his role in finalizing the deal after nine months of negotiations. “I think he’ll go down as the greatest secretary of state in history,” Trump remarked.

The agreement also outlines future cooperation on rebuilding Gaza, trade integration, and regional security. Trump expressed confidence that the region would prosper under the new framework. “We all know how to rebuild, and we’ll do it better than anyone else,” he said.

As celebrations continued in Egypt, analysts noted that sustaining peace will require trust and transparency among all parties. However, Trump remained optimistic, declaring that “the Middle East will become a safe, prosperous, and beautiful crossroads of culture and commerce.”
