Manufactured Intelligence Sparks Media Silence Debate Over Obama-Russia Probe

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard strongly criticized liberal media outlets on Saturday. She accused them of ignoring a declassified report revealing manufactured intelligence behind the Trump-Russia investigation. The report alleges former President Barack Obama’s administration created false intelligence to launch the probe.

Gabbard released the declassified document last Friday. It shows “overwhelming evidence” that after Trump won in 2016, Obama’s team laid the foundation for the years-long Trump-Russia collusion investigation. She said the report exposes how intelligence was manufactured to target the Trump campaign.

Furthermore, Gabbard found it “interesting” that mainstream media refused to cover this story this week. She described their silence as “deafening.” She said, “When they do cover it, they ignore the revelations in the intelligence report.” Instead, they focus on criticizing the report or quoting Democrats.

According to Gabbard, two reasons explain the media blackout. First, they don’t want the American people to know the truth. Second, they are complicit. She explained that the media accepted early false intelligence assessments fed by Obama’s national security team. They failed to verify facts and printed the stories quickly without journalistic integrity.

In addition, she compared the media’s silence now to how they promoted manufactured intelligence about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction years ago. This misinformation helped justify war in the Middle East. Gabbard questioned how many journalists admitted their mistakes then. Most did not, offering only weak excuses.

Obama responded to these allegations on Tuesday through his spokesman Patrick Rodenbush. The statement called the claims “bizarre” and “ridiculous.” It argued that the declassified document did not disprove Russia’s interference in the 2016 election or its attempt to influence voters.

The spokesman also cited a 2020 bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report, led by Marco Rubio, affirming those conclusions. However, Gabbard argued Obama’s “carefully worded” response avoids addressing the report’s revealed truths.

As debate continues, many question the media’s role in covering politically sensitive intelligence. The controversy highlights concerns over transparency, accountability, and manufactured intelligence shaping public perception.
