Los Angeles Crowd Crash Injures Over 30 on Santa Monica Blvd

A serious Los Angeles crowd crash injured at least 30 people early one morning in East Hollywood. Around 2:00 a.m., a vehicle drove into a crowd gathered on Santa Monica Boulevard. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) confirmed that seven people suffered critical injuries, and six others sustained serious wounds. Emergency crews responded immediately.

Witnesses said a fight broke out outside a nearby nightclub just before the crash. Many people waited in line to enter the club while some grabbed food from a nearby taco cart. The vehicle struck both the valet podium and the taco truck, sending debris and people flying. The car plowed through the crowd, hitting several victims.

The police identified the car as a Nissan Versa. Authorities said the driver left a nearby business before the crash occurred. After the driver crashed into the crowd, bystanders pulled him from the vehicle and attacked him. The driver suffered a gunshot wound.

Photos showed a gray car with a crushed hood parked near the Vermont Hollywood nightclub. Police cordoned off the area with tape. Firefighters and officers worked together to assist the injured and control the scene. Officials reported that most victims were female.

LAFD Captain Adam Van Gerpen described the chaos after the crash. He said the taco truck and valet podium sustained heavy damage. He also said many people suffered injuries from the car’s path through the crowd.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass expressed her sorrow over the tragedy. She thanked more than 100 firefighters and police officers who rushed to help. The mayor said the community stands with all victims. She also promised a full investigation into the Los Angeles crowd crash.

This event shocked the local community deeply. Emergency teams continue to treat and support the injured. Meanwhile, investigators gather evidence to determine why the driver hit the crowd. Authorities remain focused on finding answers to prevent future incidents.
