Johnson Teases More Trump Megabills Ahead of Fall Legislative Push

More Trump megabills could reshape the political landscape this fall, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.

Johnson shared bold plans for additional reconciliation bills. He said Republicans are accelerating efforts to reverse Biden-era policies. The recent $3.3 trillion legislation was only the beginning, he insisted.

Trump signed the sweeping bill on July 4th, marking a significant win for his second-term agenda. The bill overcame resistance from Democrats and even some within the GOP. Johnson described the legislation as a “big, beautiful bill” and a crucial first step.

However, Johnson made it clear that Republicans are far from finished. “We’ve prepared for at least two, maybe three reconciliation bills,” he said. The first could arrive this fall, with another planned for next spring.

He emphasized that Republicans would move without Democratic support. “Democrats won’t fix the mess they created,” he added. “So yes, that’s what’s next.”

Additionally, More Trump megabills will target economic recovery and federal budget reform. Johnson revealed plans for rescission packages. These will help the government cancel previously approved spending. The goal is to cut waste, fraud, and abuse.

Johnson also said they plan to codify Trump’s executive orders into permanent law. “He’s been very busy,” Johnson noted. “And we will be too. We have much more work ahead.”

Trump’s legislative victories are central to the Republican playbook. Johnson stressed that the GOP intends to govern decisively. He called the July 4th signing a milestone moment for their movement.

While the fall bills have not been finalized, Johnson gave a clear message: momentum is on their side. With a unified Republican effort, they believe they can pass major reforms again.

More Trump megabills are likely coming soon, and Republicans appear ready to move quickly. The next few months could shape the direction of Trump’s second term—and possibly the future of the Republican Party.
