Iran Targets US Bases Across Gulf States After Joint Strikes

Gulf Base Attacks expanded rapidly after Iran confirmed missile strikes on United States assets across the Middle East. Iranian officials said they targeted bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Moreover, Tehran described the operation as direct retaliation for joint American and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. As tensions mount, Gulf Base Attacks have heightened fears of a prolonged regional war.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it struck American and Israeli military targets throughout the region. The force vowed to continue operations until it decisively defeated what it called hostile enemies. Furthermore, it declared that all United States assets across the Middle East qualify as legitimate targets. Officials framed the Gulf Base Attacks as a lawful response to foreign aggression.

In Bahrain, authorities reported a missile strike near the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet. The government condemned the assault and labeled it a violation of national sovereignty. Meanwhile, residents in Manama witnessed smoke rising after explosions echoed across the capital. Officials there pledged to maintain security despite escalating Gulf Base Attacks.

Kuwait’s Defence Ministry confirmed that ballistic missiles targeted Ali al-Salem Air Base. Air defense systems intercepted all incoming projectiles before they struck the facility. Similarly, Qatar’s Defence Ministry announced it thwarted several missile threats aimed at its territory. Officials stated that defense units activated preapproved security plans immediately upon detecting danger.

In the United Arab Emirates, authorities reported at least one fatality in Abu Dhabi. Interceptors engaged several missiles launched from Iran before they reached critical infrastructure. Consequently, the UAE temporarily closed its airspace and suspended flights in affected areas. Leaders condemned the attacks and urged immediate de-escalation.

Saudi Arabia also confirmed that missiles targeted Riyadh and the kingdom’s eastern region. Officials said defense forces repelled the strikes and prevented significant damage. They criticized Iran for attacking despite assurances that Saudi airspace would not support operations against Tehran. Additionally, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE closed their airspace in response.

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported attempted drone strikes on Erbil International Airport in northern Iraq. Air defenses intercepted and destroyed the incoming drone before it reached its target. In Syria, state media said a missile explosion killed four people in Suwayda’s industrial zone.

Only Oman has avoided direct strikes among Gulf Cooperation Council members so far. The Gulf Cooperation Councilincludes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. As Gulf Base Attacks continue, regional leaders weigh urgent diplomatic and military responses.
