Gemini AI Assistant Expands to TVs, Cars, Watches, and XR Devices

Google is taking the Gemini AI assistant to new platforms in 2025. After launching on phones and desktops, Gemini is now coming to smartwatches, TVs, cars, and XR headsets. This major expansion will bring more flexibility and convenience to users.

Gemini aims to deliver a smarter, more responsive experience across all devices. The AI assistant can understand natural speech, helping users with reminders, questions, and content searches. As a result, people can expect seamless interactions in different settings.

The rollout begins with Wear OS smartwatches. Users will soon be able to speak naturally and set reminders or ask questions on their wrist. For example, a user can say, “Remember I’m using locker 43 today,” and the assistant will add a quick reminder to Google Reminders.

Cars will also benefit from the Gemini upgrade. Many vehicles with Google built-in already use voice assistants for hands-free control. However, later this year, Gemini will replace those assistants, making the system even more responsive. Drivers can ask for location searches, message summaries, and even translated responses. Gemini will make driving safer and more efficient by providing real-time information.

Additionally, Gemini Live will enhance the driving experience. This new feature acts as a dynamic companion, offering suggestions and performing tasks while users drive. It will also keep drivers engaged with entertainment and helpful information.

Smart TVs will soon get a boost with Gemini’s presence. The AI assistant will let users ask for specific movies or videos. For instance, users can request, “Show me thriller movies released in 2024,” and Gemini will provide tailored suggestions based on preferences.

Finally, Android XR headsets will include the Gemini AI assistant. When Samsung launches its new XR headset later this year, the assistant will help users with a wide range of tasks in virtual environments. Whether for entertainment or work, Gemini will provide practical support.

This expansion marks a significant shift in how we interact with technology. The Gemini AI assistant will soon be available on more devices, making everyday tasks easier.
