FBI Director Kash Patel Reveals Secret Trove of Russia Probe Documents

FBI Director Kash Patel sharply criticized left-wing media on Saturday. He condemned them for calling him a liar over his recent discovery of sensitive Russia probe documents. FBI officials had hidden these files inside the bureau’s “burn bags” in a secret room.

Sources said that the FBI uses the burn bag system to destroy classified or higher-level documents. However, investigators found multiple bags filled with thousands of important papers. One bag even held the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham’s final report.

Recently, FBI Director Kash Patel took to X to remind the public of his past revelations. Specifically, he stated that in 2017 and 2018, he exposed the Steele Dossier as false intelligence. According to him, “Corrupt FBI officials used it to deceive a federal judge and spy on Trump’s campaign,” Patel said. Furthermore, he added that the media called him a liar at that time.

Now, as FBI Director, Patel said his team uncovered burn bags filled with Russia Gate files. Among these files is the Durham annex, which they declassified. Once again, he accused the media of calling him a liar. In response, Patel challenged the FBI to release more documents from headquarters to reveal the truth.

Moreover, the declassification is coordinated among several top officials. These include CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and acting NSA Director William Hartman. Subsequently, the declassified annex will be sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who will release it publicly.

Additionally, Patel shared more details in a June interview with Joe Rogan. He revealed finding a hidden room full of documents and hard drives. “No one had ever seen or heard of this place,” Patel said. He went on to describe how former FBI officials locked it up and hid access.

FBI Director Kash Patel and his staff have been reviewing these materials. Some relate to sensitive investigations, such as the original Trump–Russia probe, known internally as Crossfire Hurricane. Sources said the latest discovery followed Grassley’s investigative request.

Patel has handed over the documents to Grassley, who has pressed for more information on Durham’s probe. Durham took over after Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Russia probe’s origins and intelligence community misconduct during the 2016 election.

Grassley’s team is now analyzing the information as part of their investigation. Meanwhile, Patel’s staff works to turn other records over to Congress, responding to requests from oversight committees.
