Devil’s Den State Park Killings: Police Search for Suspect

A shocking crime unfolded at Devil’s Den State Park when a husband and wife were killed while hiking with their two daughters. Consequently, the Devil’s Den State Park killings shocked the local community and sparked a police search for the suspect.

Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were at the park with their daughters, ages 7 and 9, when the attack happened. Police arrived quickly after receiving the report. They found the couple dead on a remote trail. Fortunately, the daughters escaped harm and now stay with family.

The family had recently moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, near the Oklahoma border. According to police, the suspect escaped in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda. Moreover, he covered the license plate with tape. Witnesses described him as a White male, medium build, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with sleeves rolled up, dark pants, sunglasses, a dark hat, and fingerless gloves. He carried a black backpack.

Investigators asked visitors to check their photos and videos from that day. Additionally, they urged locals to review security and game camera footage. Police warned people not to post the footage on social media because doing so might harm the investigation.

The area where the Devil’s Den State Park killings happened has rugged terrain, thick vegetation, and poor cellphone service. Therefore, authorities temporarily closed the park to conduct a thorough investigation. Furthermore, officials plan to increase police patrols in the park.

Shea Lewis, Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, expressed deep sadness about the incident. He assured the public that park rangers, who are fully trained law enforcement officers, actively work to keep visitors safe. The department remains committed to supporting the investigation and protecting Arkansas State Parks.

As police continue searching for the suspect, they urge the public to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior near the park. Ultimately, the community hopes for swift justice in the Devil’s Den State Park killings.
