Cybersecurity awareness platform provider Cyber Guru Srl has announced the acquisition of Mantra SAS, a French startup specializing in employee cybersecurity training and phishing simulations, for an undisclosed amount.
Established in 2020, Mantra is known for offering a comprehensive cybersecurity training platform, which combines educational awareness programs with realistic phishing attack simulations. The goal is to empower employees to recognize and effectively respond to cyber threats, considering approximately 90% of cyberattacks originate from phishing and human errors.
Mantra emphasizes the crucial role employees play as the first line of defense against cyber threats. Its platform employs advanced simulations that mirror real-world cyberattacks, enabling organizations to better equip their teams against phishing and social engineering tactics.
The acquisition allows Cyber Guru to integrate Mantra’s advanced simulation technology into its existing platform. The combined companies will leverage more than 340 billion data points to enhance machine learning models, enabling highly personalized and impactful cybersecurity training for their joint customer base, which spans over 1,000 organizations and 1.5 million active users globally.
Mantra’s CEO, Gaspard Droz, will assume the position of Country Managing Director for France within Cyber Guru, while Mantra CTO Guillaume Charhon will join Cyber Guru as group chief architect.
Gaspard Droz, commenting on the merger, expressed enthusiasm about the potential to deliver stronger cybersecurity defenses to clients worldwide.
Prior to the acquisition, Mantra had raised €1.92 million in seed funding.
