Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack Could Return Under the Beats Brand

From 2021 to 2023, Apple offered a unique accessory: the MagSafe Battery Pack. Though it wasn’t perfect, it stood out with deep iOS integration and one exclusive feature reverse wireless charging via iPhone. This feature allowed the pack to charge while the iPhone itself was plugged in, a capability no third-party battery has matched.

With a modest 11.2Wh capacity, the battery could power an iPhone 12 Pro fully once or newer iPhones up to around 80%. Apple discontinued it in September 2023 when the iPhone 15 series shifted to USB-C, rather than updating the pack’s Lightning port.

However, a quiet revival may be on the horizon under Apple’s Beats brand. Beats has started launching iPhone accessories, including cases and charging cables. This shift suggests Apple may be repurposing Beats for accessory innovation outside its core brand. A Beats-branded MagSafe battery bank could bring playful colors and a lower price tag, while retaining signature iOS features.

For now, it’s speculation but a return like this could carve out a new lane for Beats in the Apple ecosystem.
