Apple may introduce a major design tweak to the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro. According to recent leaks, a lower iPhone 17 Pro logo change could happen. This would be the first logo shift in six years.
The rumored change appears linked to the phone’s expected camera redesign. A full-width camera bar could span the top of the device. Because of this, the Apple logo might shift closer to the bottom center.
The leaker “Majin Bu” shared early images of this redesign. One image shows a transparent phone case with a broken MagSafe ring. The break appears to reveal the new logo position, confirming the iPhone 17 Pro logo change.
Accessory makers have taken note of the potential move. Some case manufacturers have already started adjusting their production lines. They want to match the new logo placement. One company is reportedly reworking MagSafe-compatible cases to align with the new visual center.
Another known leaker, Sonny Dickson, added more weight to the rumor. He released digital schematics of the iPhone 17 Pro showing a wider top camera bump. These schematics also show the Apple logo placed lower on the back.
The shift may help center the logo within a new glass cutout used for wireless charging. This cutout would sit below the wide aluminum camera module. Even though the logo may shift, the internal MagSafe magnets likely won’t move.
Because of this, the logo may no longer indicate the exact location of the magnets. That could create confusion for users and third-party accessory makers. Still, Apple seems focused on refining the design without overhauling existing MagSafe tech.
