Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) is once again questioning the official account of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, claiming without evidence that a previously unseen video could shed new light on the case.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News on Friday, Luna stated that she had been informed NBC possesses a “never been seen before” video of the assassination, which she intends to request access to. According to Luna, the footage allegedly shows Lee Harvey Oswald near Kennedy’s vehicle at the time of the shooting. “If that’s the case, he couldn’t have been the shooter,” she told Fox host Jesse Watters.
Luna, who has been appointed by House Republicans to lead the House Oversight Committee’s “Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets,” said she would push NBC to release the video.
Speculation surrounding Kennedy’s assassination on November 22, 1963, has persisted for decades, despite multiple investigations concluding that Oswald acted alone. The release of declassified documents in recent years has done little to quell public skepticism. In a 2023 Gallup poll, 65% of Americans said they believed others were involved, while only 29% accepted that Oswald acted alone.
Luna’s comments come as conspiracy theories surrounding high-profile cases—including the assassinations of Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., as well as the death of Jeffrey Epstein—continue to gain traction, particularly after the Trump administration pledged greater transparency in these investigations.
