Iran Seeks Diplomatic Solution to Israel Conflict as Tensions Escalate

Iran seeks diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict with Israel, according to President Donald Trump. During the G7 summit, Trump revealed that Tehran appears open to negotiations, but only if the U.S. avoids direct involvement.

Standing alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump confirmed that Iran seeks diplomatic solution to de-escalate hostilities. “They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before,” he stated. The president emphasized that Iran is not winning the conflict and urged immediate dialogue.

Recent reports suggest Iran has sent messages through Arab intermediaries. Middle Eastern and European officials claim Tehran wants negotiations if the U.S. refrains from joining Israel’s attacks.

The conflict intensified last week when Israel targeted Iranian nuclear facilities and military leaders. Iran retaliated with missile strikes, killing at least eight Israelis and wounding dozens. Meanwhile, Israel’s attacks have caused significant damage to Iranian infrastructure.

Despite the violence, Iran seeks diplomatic solution to avoid further destruction. Trump previously gave Iran 60 days to agree to a new nuclear deal, but negotiations collapsed. “On the 61st day, I said, ‘We don’t have a deal,'” Trump recalled.

When asked about potential U.S. military action, Trump remained vague. “I don’t want to talk about that,” he said. However, he reaffirmed America’s long-standing support for Israel, noting the country is “doing very well right now.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that Iran’s conditions for talks include a U.S. pledge not to intervene. Analysts suggest Tehran fears a combined U.S.-Israel offensive could cripple its military capabilities.

World leaders at the G7 summit expressed concern over the escalating conflict. Many urge restraint, fearing a broader regional war. Diplomatic efforts are underway, but so far, neither side has agreed to a ceasefire.

As tensions rise, the possibility of a negotiated settlement remains uncertain. For now, Iran seeks diplomatic solution, but whether Israel and the U.S. will engage remains to be seen.
