Pangram has secured $9 million in fresh funding as AI Detection becomes increasingly important across digital platforms. The New York-based startup plans to strengthen its technology while expanding tools that identify AI-generated text and images.
The investment round was led by Menlo Ventures with additional backing from Haystack, ScOp, Script Capital, and Cadenza. At the same time, Pangram introduced its latest AI text detection model, Pangram 4, alongside a new AI image detection system currently available through a research preview.
Company executives say the updated text model identifies AI-assisted writing with more than 99% accuracy under internal testing. Moreover, the system detects mixed human and AI content while recognizing text altered through AI humanization software. Pangram expects to release its image detection model more broadly during the coming weeks.
