Trump Issues Last Warning to Hamas, Urges Hostage Release

President Donald Trump issues last warning to Hamas on Sunday. He called on the group to accept his terms and free the remaining hostages immediately. “Everyone wants the hostages home,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Everyone wants this war to end.”

He stressed that Israel has already accepted his deal. “It is time for Hamas to accept as well,” he said firmly. Trump continued, “I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning. There will not be another one.”

His message comes after months of stalled negotiations. In July, the U.S. and Israel withdrew their negotiators from Qatar. Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff accused Hamas of showing little desire to reach a ceasefire.

On August 26, Witkoff told Fox News that he and Trump hoped to bring the hostages home that week. He revealed that a deal had existed for six or seven weeks. The agreement could have freed 10 hostages out of the 20 believed alive.

Witkoff blamed Hamas entirely for the delays. However, he did not specify why the group had not complied. Currently, Hamas holds 50 hostages. Experts estimate only 20 remain alive. These captives were taken during the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.

Earlier, Trump predicted a “conclusive” end to the Gaza conflict within two to three weeks. However, he did not explain how this would be achieved. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on a complete ceasefire. This ceasefire must ensure all hostages return and the war ends on Israel’s terms.

As tensions escalate, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) prepare a new offensive in Gaza. Operation Gideon’s Chariots II expands ground operations against Hamas. IDF spokesperson Colonel Avichay Adraee warned civilians in Gaza City to evacuate. He released a map marking areas of expected strikes. The warnings targeted buildings housing Hamas terrorist infrastructure.

Again, Trump issues last warning to Hamas as the conflict intensifies. The world watches closely to see if Hamas will respond before consequences arrive.
